The Social Responsibility Board Agenda is Activated in San Juan

On Tuesday, February 25, the Social Responsibility Board held its first meeting of the year. This space, which brings together public and private sector actors, aims to promote human and sustainable development in San Juan through concrete and collaborative actions.

A Key Meeting for Sustainable Development

The meeting brought together key representatives from government, education, and business sectors, including:

  • Secretary of Social Promotion, Ramiro Pavone
  • Director of Social Economy, Cinthya Garrido
  • Representatives from the Ministry of Family and Human Development
  • Members of the Ministry of Mining, the San Juan Chamber of Deputies, the Industrial Union, and the San Juan Chamber of Commerce
  • Universities such as the National University of San Juan, the Catholic University of Cuyo, and the University of Congreso
  • Companies and organizations including Seralicó, Arcor, the Banco de San Juan Foundation, the Sanatorium Foundation, and the San Juan Stock Exchange

The broad participation highlights the Social Responsibility Board’s importance as a platform for collaboration among various sectors to drive sustainable growth.

Concrete Actions and Goals for 2025

During the meeting, specific action plans were outlined to guide this year’s agenda. Some of the key initiatives include:

1. Health and Well-being Campaigns

  • Prevention and early detection of cervical and breast cancer
  • Talks on mental health and anxiety management

2. Education and Training

  • Workshops for young people on entrepreneurship, leadership, and job skills
  • Training for public employees on responsible paper usage

3. Commitment to the Environment

  • Environmental education workshops
  • Tree-planting sponsorship programs in different areas of the province
  • Organization of a sustainable entrepreneurship fair

4. Academic Training in Sustainability

The event confirmed the certificate awards for the first graduates of the Diploma in Social Responsibility and Sustainability, as well as the promotion of a new cohort for this year.

Strategic Alliances and Strengthening the Social Economy

The meeting also resulted in an agreement to sign the Supplementary Act to the Framework Cooperation Agreement, allowing new institutions to join the Board.

The Ministry of Family and Human Development emphasized two key objectives:

  1. Promoting entrepreneurship through a collaborative approach between the social economy, businesses, and academic institutions.
  2. Boosting the social economy as a driving force for sustainable growth in the province.

A Year of Commitment and Action

With these agreements and proposals, the Social Responsibility Board reaffirms its commitment to sustainable development, social inclusion, and improving the quality of life in San Juan.
